How do you intend to use the four areas of the media theoretical framework to communicate meaning and meet the requirements of your chosen brief? (approx. 400 words) 


Product 1 (music video):


Through media language i would have portray codes and conventions to communicate meaning through the use of camera work. Through being able to effectively use camera work of panning across the landscapes i have chosen, and making the camera shots and angles reflect upon the emotions and feelings i wish to express of vulnerability and weakness, i planned to show that the audience is the ones who have the power over the world, and that only we can help. I then intended to use media representation on the events, linking to littering and the constant battle between man and the environment, through using man made factories and buildings which overshadow the beauty of nature, and how we are the ones who have destroyed the earth. I then planned to show media industries through the use of my designed logo and the logo of warner music within the ending frame of my music video, alongside a message of hope. Finally, i planned to use media audiences to connect the age groups with my main character, a 16 year old boy who is going about his normal life. The target audience is 16-25, and having someone of the age of 16 is something they can all relate to, having been that age themselves. I then also incorporated that of a 7 year old, in hopes to show the audience that they are also the future, and what they do affects that of the future of mankind. As well as using references to social media and music like youtube and Spotify (which is popular amongst this age group) to allow them to connect to the product and become an active audience. 



Product 2 (website):

For the website i intend to use a simplistic design that conveys a relaxed theme, using dark colours to show a relaxed mood. I will include the artists name, logo and slogan at the top of the website to have a continuous branding throughout the website, In order to appeal to the 16-25 year olds, i will use a combination of popular conventions such as social media icons that would link to my social media profiles and my linking page will be that of my music video i plan to incorporate. To he the website seem realistic, i plan to portray the institution (warner bros music) by displaying the logo at the bottom of every page as a form of copyright.




How do you intend to link your media products to demonstrate your knowledge and understanding of the digitally convergent nature of your media production? (approx. 100 words) 

 

In order to demonstrate my knowlege and understanding f the digitally convergent nature of my media production, i will notify the viewer of the website at the end of the video as well as social media. I will then use my bands logo and warner bros media logo. I also plan to edit the music (as it is over 3 minutes long) to make sure it fits within the 3 minutes as well as has enough time to show the logo and text stating “Visit the TTS website for more”.

  Producers/Directors Research       Introduction     In this post I will be researching a range of media producers of my chosen brief (music videos), paying particular attention to the style and use of conventions in the type of media products they produce.   Genre Research     Introduction   I am going to be doing research into the genre of my brief.
